Determine the proper web and edge allowances between blanks for a robust, feedable strip layout.
Webs (between parts) and bridges (part to strip edge) keep the strip strong enough to feed without tearing or sagging. Too little allowance and the carrier collapses; too much wastes material.
Allowances scale with thickness and part size, with a practical minimum so thin material still carries.
Formula: Web / bridge ≈ 1 to 1.5 × Material Thickness (≥ ~0.040 in)
