Feed Rate Calculator

Convert strokes per minute and progression into feed rate, throughput, and material consumption.

Feed rate is how much material the feeder advances per minute — the progression times the press speed. It drives throughput and material consumption.

Formula: Feed rate (in/min) = Progression × Strokes per minute

Worked Example

  1. Progression 1.25 in at 120 strokes/min.
  2. Feed rate = 1.25 × 120 = 150 in/min, and you make 120 parts/min.
