Formula: Length (in) ≈ π × (OD² − ID²) / (4 × Thickness)

Worked Example

  1. OD = 48 in, ID = 20 in, thickness = 0.060 in.
  2. Length ≈ π × (48² − 20²) / (4 × 0.060) = π × 1904 / 0.24 ≈ 24,900 in ≈ 2,075 ft.
