Wrinkling appears when the flange or wall of a drawn part experiences compressive hoop stress greater than the material can resist without buckling. It shows up in the flange, the wall, or the corners.
Common fixes include increasing blank-holder pressure, adding draw beads, adjusting blank size, or improving lubrication.
