Center of Pressure
The point where the resultant of all cutting forces acts; it should align with the press ram centerline.
What it means on the floor
When a die has many punches of different sizes spread across the tool, the cutting forces do not act through the geometric center. The center of pressure (or center of gravity of the forces) is the balance point of all those forces.
Aligning the center of pressure with the press ram centerline prevents tipping moments that cause uneven clearance, snap-through deflection, and accelerated wear or breakage.

Interpret Center of Pressure in the context of the drawing, governing standard, and customer requirement in front of you — the same word can carry different limits in design, quality, and production documents. Check whether a stated value is nominal, minimum, maximum, or reference-only, and whether it applies before forming, after forming, or after heat treatment.
